About Us.SD SociaLights has lighting roots back to 2009. The founder, Kelle McCarty, wanted a way to make a little extra money and try his hand at becoming an entrepreneur. His brother and now business partner, Ryan, was fresh out of the United States Marine Corps and needed a stable job in between exploring all corners of the world.
What they soon found was that they complimented each other really well when it came to all aspects of business and that they each had a passion for helping clients bring their lighting dreams to life.
It Began with Two Brothers.Kelle and Ryan now consider themselves full-time event professionals while maintaining a small family-run business environment. They have taken on a team of people to help them with their journey including their dear significant others and passionate workers from around the community.
